The post that you’ve been waiting for and grumbling about not getting yet…
Results round-up
You’ll have noticed that there’s been an absence of results being announced.
Sorry about that.
We’ve been on holiday and only just about managed to keep up with the rounds of the slugfest. Unfortunately time wasn’t made for getting the results to you, for which we apologise.
If it’s any consolation, we had a great holiday thanks.
Moving on to the important bit:
You know the results of bouts 1 (Thomas Cranmer beat Thomas The Apostle) and 2 (Rose Of Lima beat Hyacinth of Caesarea).
Here are the results since then:
Bout 3: Kassia drew with Casimir
Bout 4: Canaire drew with Barbara
Bout 5: Albert Schweitzer beat Henry Muhlenberg
Bout 6: Polycarp drew with Andrew the Fisherman
Bout 7: Joseph of Arimathea beat Lazarus (there’s no coming back from that)
Bout 8: Cyprian of Carthage beat Pachomius
As you can see, there have been a few draws so your vote really does count!
In order to resolve the draws we’ve used the tried, trusted, age-old and above all simple method of tossing a coin.
We therefore arbitrarily declare the following results:
Bout 3: Kassia beat Casimir
Bout 4: Barbara beat Canaire
Bout 6: Polycarp beat Andrew the Fisherman
All of those winners progress to the next round – the Saintly Sixteen!
Before we get there though there’s the rest of this round to complete – so read up on today’s combatants here or click the button to go straight to the vote.
